....so Katia and me went to Gronigen this weekend to visit since her old officemate was defending his thesis and graduating. At the same time we took the opportunity to re-live the memories of the past were our story had its first steps in 'normal' life (Well since I met my wife normal is hardly the correct word, and to that I am glad).
We sleept over at Katias old spanish friend and had a really nice time. First time I have gotten drunk in quite a while, however I had no hangover to speak about saturday morning which was not exactly what my wife could say. Poor Katia, she was feeling soooooo bad. :)
But all in all a nice weekend, we both needed it.

Accepting the unacceptable...

Acceptable
1. worth accepting; satisfactory or, sometimes, merely adequate
2. tolerable; bearable
Human (adjective)
1: of, relating to, or characteristic of humans
2: consisting of humans
3 a: having human form or attributes
b: susceptible to or representative of the sympathies and frailties of human nature.
Unacceptable
1. not acceptable : not pleasing or welcome.
What is acceptable? And what are accepted of someone else when you have done something unacceptable? Is behavior of the human being acceptable? Is it acceptable to give in to human feelings, emotions and to fall for human weaknesses? Is it unacceptable not to do what is expected of you? If you are human is it not expected you will behave like one? Why is it not accepted to behave like a human if you accept the fact that you are one? Can you accept yourself being human? If you think someone else have done something unacceptable does the unacceptable things then become acceptable? Can you accept the unacceptable?? Can you... Do you... Human?!

I did not intend to hurt you
The way, I realize now, I did.
Your love means the world to me
And it always will.
I will do whatever it takes
To prove the same to you.
Ever since I met you
And your love enveloped my heart
I knew for sure that
A new chapter in my life would begin from the start.
Forgive me for the hurt I have brought.
I have tried making it up to you through each little chance I got.
You have my love for now and forever.

Wedding bells!
Life takes a leap forward. On the 23rd of August 2008 me and Katia Ganda got married in Riva del Garda in Italy. It was the happiest day of my life. After the honey moon was in Mexico. We flew from Amsterdam to Mexico City, were we stayed 2 days. Then flew to Tuxla were we had rented a car and drove to a lovely city in the mountains called San Christobal. There we also stayed two days. Then onward to Palenque, Champeche, Merida, Cancun and eventually Puerto Aventuras och Playa del Carmen were 5 days of beachlife was enjoyed. A wonderful and marvelous trip. Now back in Amsterdam the temperature is somewhat different. ;)
I hope now I will have some time to visit Sweden (over a weekend probably) and I know we need to go to Italy for wedding pictures and some more stuff. At the moment the priority is to move from the house in Amsterdam to a new one in Zaandam that we bought about a month ago. There is still some minor ajustments to make but in principle we are ready.
A big hug to all of you out there.

Life goes on.

21st June at 01:00 in the night my grandfather passed away peacefully on one of the most magical nights on the year, Midsummer. My memories of my grandfather are all dear to me and I am happy that I last week was able to see him a last time before he passed away. I know that for him it was time to go and that he wanted to se his Signe again. I think of my family back in Sweden and hope that they are allright. It is with all my dear memories that I will now remember him. I am in some way happy even though my heart is heavy and I know he is now in a better place then he was.

Documentary mornings.

I have this morning on way to work listened to a documentary about the Catalina crisis from the Swedish national radio program 3, (SR P3). It is about when the Russians shot down a Swedish plane over 'international' water. Were exactly the DC 3 plane were when it was shot down is not know other then to the Russians and to the Swedish air force. However it is very interesting to listen to. We were very close to a conflict with Russia at this point. For sure it was one of the most dangerous situations for Sweden during the cold war. I have started to download a pod-radio documentary every morning. I have so far listened to The SAS crash at Gottröra, and about the Congo crisis in the early 60'ies which I must say was so far the most interesting, the stories from Swedish personnel and UN soldiers paint a very different situation then I had previously known. I can recommend to do this if you have an mp3 player or mobile phone that can play mp3's.
